Hello onweb customers, and other potential customers...

Over the past months we have been working hard at engineering some improvements to our range of offerings to those of you who need to have a web site. While this is primarily the business community it also covers associations, clubs and societies.

NEW PRODUCTS

We have introduced 2 new products at the entry level range. These are as follows:

Internet Identity

This is a brand new plan designed for those customers who need an internet identity and their own unique email address, but need a while longer to become fully organised and develop their internet strategy. This plan offers a fully registered domain name, an email forwarding address, an autoresponder email address, and a home page which is created using one of our templates. This is offered only on a 6-month basis with the fee being $159 per 6 months, and the usual one-time setup fee of $75. Any applicable domain name registration fees need to be added – presently $125 for 2 years for .com.au names.

Domain Name Reservation, or Domain Parking

With the number of people wanting to get their business on the internet increasing at a remarkable rate, those who delay for too long will find that the name they want will be gone to someone else when they come to register it. We can now offer a domain name reservation plan which will get your name registered and we will provide a simple ‘Under Construction’ page so that people know you will be coming along soon. Pricing for this plan is $99 for two years, plus any name registration fees (presently $125 for .com.au names – also valid for 2 years). If you have a potential need for an additional internet name, or know anyone who is thinking about it, then this is the plan to consider.

Customers who take out one of these plans also benefit later when they move into one of the other Onweb Plans – the $75 setup fee will be waived!! (Does not apply to transferring into the Internet Identity plan)

Onweb Business Packs

With the success of Onweb’s Business Packs, we have revamped the entry level business pack for those customers wishing to get started with an advertising presence on the internet. Our experience has shown that a more basic set of features is sufficient at this entry level so we have responded with this revised product set of features and reduced the recurrent costs. Of course those customers who need the additional features are still able to get them, and we are happy to work through the requirements accordingly.

New Discount Structure

We are introducing a new discount structure for new customers only from October 1. Existing customers will be offered this new discount option in the near future. The new discounts will enable you to enjoy the discount earlier and also encourage you to save more when you take out longer term contracts. THE MORE YOU BUY, THE MORE YOU SAVE. The way the new scheme works is as follows:

Normal purchase by the quarter – unchanged.
Buy 6 months rental, and you can purchase the 7^th month for half price.
Buy 12 months rental, and you can purchase the next 3 months at half price.

These discounts mean that on all personal plans and above you have the opportunity to obtain a discount of .5months in 7 (= 7.2% discount), or 1.5months in 15 (= 10% discount).

The discounts will be incorporated into the higher level business packs as well. New business pack customers will be given further details when we decide on the final most appropriate pack for their needs. At this stage the revised advertising business pack is based on a fixed annual plan.

Existing customers will have the opportunity to take up our present discount offer with their next renewal, and should have the opportunity to be part of the new discount scheme in the near future.

Increased Transfer Limits

If you haven’t visited our site for a while, then you may not have noticed that we have increased the data transfer limits on most plans. The new limits mean that you can get substantially more traffic through your site before any overage charges start bobbing up. Typically the increases have been around 20% or more. The new limits are:

Personal Plan - 600 Mb per month
Plan 1 - 2000 Mb per month
Plan 2 - 3000 Mb per month
Plan 3 - 4000 Mb per month
Plan 4 - 5500 Mb per month

Hopefully there won’t be any complaints about these increases?
